Pedco Engineering’s “Game Changer”
Thank you to Pedco Engineering for the invitation to attend the official unveiling of their new premises where we were lucky enough to see their new Accurpress 650t press brake in action – what an impressive machine it was!
The new premises, at 118 Dowd Street in Welshpool, is located just a block away from their previous premises with a workshop facility that is twice the size, sitting on over 12000 sqm of land.
For those who don’t know, Pedco Engineering is a steel forming and fabrication business which was originally established in 1987, and has been under current ownership since late 2005 when Stephen Quantrill and Deryck Ethelston took over the business.
Since the takeover, Pedco has gone from strength to strength, providing quality pressing, rolling and fabrication services to major industries in Western Australia, including oil and gas, mining and minerals, construction and infrastructure services, industrial services and government.
The new Accurpress 650t x 6 metre press brake includes the “latest and greatest” innovations in international press brake technology, including state of the art safety and power saving systems, a heavy duty 6 axis back gauge, hydraulic tool clamping, Pilz safety guarding, CNC fully automatic variable vee block, and approach and return speeds that need to be seen to be believed on a machine of this size.
