Western Australia has seen a number of major infrastructure projects take shape over the last ten years and 2021 wasn’t any less disappointing. The extension of Tonkin Highway, the Forrestfield-Airport Link and Claremont Station upgrade are just a few of the local projects in Perth.
There is a large pipeline of projects continuing into 2022 and beyond, as the State Budget predicts the WA economy will grow 3.5 percent. View The Pipeline of statewide projects across all regions in WA for full details on projects, their budget and expected tenders dates.
The 2021-22 State Budget has delivered a $30.7 billion infrastructure program over the next four years, designed to continue to support this pipeline of infrastructure work beyond the current boom.
KEE Group Getting Involved
KEE Group is a multifaceted civil support services provider based in WA and has been heavily involved in a number of projects spanning right across the state. KEE Hire, KEE Transport, KEE Surfacing and KEE Fuel are KEE Groups main service offerings.
Below are just a few of the projects past and present that KEE Group were awarded contracts for and what the scope of the business’s involvement entailed.
NorthLink WA 2 – Past Project
NorthLink WA 2 was a $417 million construction contract for Stage 2 of the project and covered construction of the Central Section of the Swan Valley Bypass between Reid Highway and Ellenbrook.
The new highway has taken a lot of the traffic from Great Northern Highway and has provided an efficient alternative freight route, whilst creating a safer environment for Swan Valley and Ellenbrook residents, businesses and tourists.

KEE Bundu Venture
In 2020, KEE Group established a ground-breaking joint-venture partnership with Bundu Contracting. Bundu Contracting, established in 2013 by Ivan Thompson, is a proudly 100% Aboriginal-company owner. Thompson is a Yawuru/Bunuba man whose roots can be traced back to WA’s First Peoples.
The joint venture was a major successful step for KEE Group’s as they cemented the businesses long-held commitment to providing real enterprise opportunities for Indigenous communities across Australia. Something that the entire team at KEE Group feels very strongly about.
Already KEE Bundu has won and completed significant contracts available to Aboriginal businesses, including fuel supply across the Thornlie-Cockburn Link and Yanchep Rail Extension projects as part of the METRONET.
Along with joining forces to create opportunities for indigenous communities, KEE Bundu has joined with Hale School Foundation to create the Hale KEE Bundu Indigenous Scholarship, set to commence in 2022. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference to the life of a young indigenous student.
